Seraphina Theresa’s paintings, photographs, poems, and other works culminate her study of attention and perception—an ongoing conversation between self, nature, and time. Her work evolves around the unsuccessful search for meaning, her hunt for the instant, and her practice of loving a life that is meant to have an end.

Glimmers & Field Notes: Field notes on seeing, a practice of awareness and a collection of small witnesses
Notes on seeing, collecting small witnesses and ethereal realities.
Encountering the world with tenderness
Tenderness, unanswered questions, orientation,

Seraphina Theresa’s work evolves around the act of carving on the surface of the visible instant to witness a glimmer of what lies behind and how to shape and get ahold of your existence in the fleetingness of the present, knowing that all life comes from energy and is bound in union, and practicing acceptance of a life that is meant to have an end, without surrendering to defeat. Her paintings, poems, photographs and other works culminate her study of attention and perception — an ongoing conversation between self, nature, and time.
(Seraphina Theresa’s work is a conversation between herself and the world, eager to make sense of a life that is meant to have an end.
and her encounter of life)

Family Archive
Whilst my family never considered art as part of their lives and actions, their diary-shaped photo albums carry a language of wonder and love. A creative language that raised and accompanied me since birth. The urge to discover and document, to worship the moment and find meaning in this world.

Cabinet of Wonders
Here is a collection of human traces that vanished from their own time and yet physically bled into our present. I like to hold on to these evidences of a stranger’s life when I stumble upon them in foreign countries, on flea-markets and in baskets full of fragments. Please enjoy drifting through foreign memories.

Collectibles of Nature
As my poetry speaks of it, I am in constant search of the particles that bind this world into unison. Whilst this is a mental act, the performance of physical contact and an eye-to-eye witness is likely to bring the most awareness to my understanding. The elements of the natural world and that of animals play an important role in this journey. So to say: I coexist in a most miraculous world.
